It's Summer Vacation time, so why not celebrate the great state of Hawaii?! Maybe we should go there for educational purposes on what the flower really looks like! Just for educational purposes, right?

Fun Facts About Hawaii:

  1. Hawaii is the only state that grows coffee commercially

  2. The Dole Plantation is home to the largest maze in the world and some delicious pineapple selections!

  3. Hawaii was the first state to officially ban plastic bags

  4. Jurassic Park was filmed in Hawaii, as well as: Hunger Games, Indiana Jones, 50 First Dates, Pirates of the Caribbean, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Jumanji, and LOST!

  5. You'll never see a billboard in Hawaii, because they are outlawed!

  6. There are no native snakes to Hawaii, and they are illegal to own as pets!

  7. There are 12 letters in the Hawaiian Alphabet: A, E, I, O, U, H, K, L, M, N , P, W

  8. Mauna Kea is actually the tallest mountain in the world if you measure from the ocean floor.

  9. Each time a volcano erupts on the big island, it grows about 42 acres of land

  10. The big island has 10 of the world's 14 climate zones
